Seth J. Hill

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles . My areas of research include American Politics, Political Methodology, and Comparative Politics. I am interested in the extent to which the actual electoral behavior of citizens constrains the choices made by their elected officials. My dissertation investigates how changes in turnout influence who wins elections. I use non-survey data such as state voter files, ballot images, and election returns.
